School board lowers real estate tax rate

The Russell County Board of Education voted to lower its real estate tax rate at yesterday’s board meeting.

The board voted unanimously to approve a slight lowering of the tax rate.

WJRS News spoke with Superintendent Michael Ford about his recommendation to lower the tax rate.
