School attendance was 93.4% on Monday

With this being the final week before Christmas Break for Russell County Schools, district attendance numbers rose to 93.4 percent on Monday, according to Superintendent Michael Ford.

Every one of the district’s five schools had attendance numbers upward of 90 percent yesterday.

Russell Springs Elementary and Salem Elementary were each at 95 percent, Russell County Middle School was 94 percent, Jamestown Elementary was 92 percent as was Russell County High School, giving the district one of the most attended days in weeks.

The school system only considers canceling in-person classes if district attendance falls below 90 percent for multiple days.
