A joint drug investigation led to the arrest of two people Monday night following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Geneva Drive on the outskirts of Jamestown and Russell Springs.
According to investigators, the search warrant was served as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. During the search, officers reportedly seized approximately two ounces of suspected methamphetamine along with several grams of suspected fentanyl.
Arrested were 32-year-old Karis Gallagher of Russell Springs and 31-year-old Jacob Wright of Dunnville. Both are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and trafficking in fentanyl.
Gallagher and Wright were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Columbia Area HIDTA Drug Task Force, the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations unit, and Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia. Jamestown Police officers also assisted with the operation.
