A company with roots in Russell Springs is celebrating a national basketball championship.
Davis Steel USA, owned by Ashley and Adam Davis of Russell Springs, captured the 2026 The Basketball Tournament (TBT) championship Sunday afternoon as Davis Steel defeated Kentucky alumni team La Familia 67-59 at Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington. The victory earned the team the tournament’s winner-take-all $2 million prize.
Davis Steel completed an impressive tournament run that began in the Las Vegas Regional before advancing to Lexington for the championship. The team featured a talented roster assembled by Davis Steel ownership, along with experienced coaches, front office personnel and support staff.
The championship marks a milestone not only for the organization but also for the Davis family and their hometown supporters in Russell County. Fans across the Lake Cumberland region followed the team’s journey from the Las Vegas bracket to the championship game in Lexington, celebrating a remarkable accomplishment on one of summer basketball’s biggest stages.
