The Russell County Middle School Site-Based Decision-Making Council has scheduled a special called meeting for Wednesday morning to continue the process of selecting the school’s next principal.
The meeting will begin at 8:00 Central Time in the room above the pool at the Russell County Schools Auditorium and Natatorium Complex. The public should enter through the main lobby doors.
Following the call to order, roll call, adoption of the agenda and public comments, council members will conduct a procedural review of the principal selection process.
Items on the agenda include the possible election of a vice-chair to conduct meetings if the superintendent is unavailable, a review of principal selection policies and state law, methods for obtaining stakeholder input, development of principal selection criteria and interview questions, methods for gathering information on principal candidates, and establishing a timeline for the principal selection process.
The council will also discuss future meeting dates. The meeting is open to the public.
