Several individuals were arrested over the Independence Day holiday weekend on a variety of charges in Russell and surroundinSg counties.
In Russell County, 45-year-old Tessa Sturgill of Russell Springs was arrested Saturday evening by Kentucky State Police Trooper Lee on two warrants for failure to appear in court and two warrants for non-payment of fines. She was also charged with theft of identity of another without consent and giving a police officer false identifying information. Sturgill was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
Also arrested Saturday evening was Andrew Steitz, 37, of Prospect. Trooper Lee charged Steitz with DUI, careless driving, first-degree wanton endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor, failure to use a child restraint device and failure to wear a seat belt. He was also lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
During the early morning hours Saturday, Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Stone Bolin arrested Heidi Flanagan, 35, of Russell Springs following a traffic stop. She was charged with possession of cocaine, bribery of a public servant and several traffic-related offenses, including expired registration and failure to maintain insurance. Flanagan was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
At approximately 1:30 Sunday morning, Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Devin Blakey arrested Susan Marlow, 61, of Russell Springs. Marlow was charged with DUI, possession of hydrocodone, possession of marijuana, trafficking in methamphetamine and failure to have her operator’s license in possession. She was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
Saturday night, Jamestown Police Officer Corey Meyer arrested Elizabeth Ann Caldwell, 60, of Jamestown on an Adair District Court warrant charging possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Caldwell was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center before being transferred to the Adair County Regional Jail.
Elsewhere, Marco Anaya, 21, of Albany, was arrested Saturday evening by Clinton County Sheriff Ricky Marcum. He faces charges including DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and reckless driving. Anaya was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
In Pulaski County, Ricky Roberts, 30, of Somerset, was arrested around 4:00 Sunday morning by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department. Roberts is charged with DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police by vehicle and on foot, reckless driving and driving on a DUI-suspended license. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
