Fair continues today with pageants, demolition derby

The Russell County Jaycees Fair continues today with pageants and the popular demolition derby.

Pageants will run through the day at the pavilion, with the last pageant expected to get underway at around 6:00.

Other events today include the poultry/rabbit show and the goat show.

Tonight’s entertainment will be the demolition derby getting underway at 7:00 on the main track.

There will also be a mullet contest during the derby.

Gate admission is $12. Fairgoers are reminded that the carnival is not open yet. The carnival will open on Monday.
