Murder investigation reportedly underway in Cumberland County

A murder investigation is underway in neighboring Cumberland County.

52-year-old Heather G. Edens was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with murder in the death of her husband, 52-year-old James Edens.

James Edens was reportedly discovered inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound near the intersection of Clint Sharp Road and Judio Road, not far from Highway 61. He was transported to Cumberland County Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation remains ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
