Residents of the City of Liberty and Casey County are being asked to continue conserving water as the levels at Lake Liberty remain near historic lows.
The 88-acre lake is the main water supply for the City of Liberty, but also provides water across other areas of Casey County. Officials say the lake is about 11 feet lower than it should be.
Officials are advising residents to take certain measures like opting for a shower over a bath, only run washers or dishwashers with a full load, and make sure any leaks are reported.
