Two people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 127 near Lake Cumberland State Resort Park.
Russell County Deputy Sheriff Heath Tarter told WJRS News the wreck occurred at approximately 2:25, about one mile north of the park entrance.
Tarter said 57-year-old Kimberly Bentley of Albany was traveling north in a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic when she lost control in a curve and overcorrected. The vehicle spun before rolling onto its side.
Bentley and her passenger, 21-year-old Destiny Bradshaw, were injured and trapped inside. Jamestown firefighters and Russell County EMS personnel extricated both women from the vehicle.
They were transported by ambulance to Russell County Hospital for treatment.
