Two arrested on theft charges

Two people were arrested on theft charges yesterday evening by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office.

41-year-old Dwayne M. Padgett and 47-year-old Kandy A. Popplewell, both of Russell Springs, were arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition.

Padgett and Popplewell were arrested by Deputies Devin Blakey and Stone Bolin with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. They were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
