South Kentucky RECC is warning area residents about ongoing holiday utility scams.
The local electric cooperative says scammers are particularly active during the holiday season and target co-op members with fake utility bill threats.
South Kentucky RECC says they will never call and demand personal or financial information. Anyone who receives a call claiming to be from South Kentucky RECC and claims electricity will be shut off unless personal information is provided should hang up the phone.
