A pair of rifle-caliber bullets were found in a restroom at Jamestown Elementary yesterday.
According to a release from the Russell County School District, the bullets were discovered in a toilet in a girls restroom at the school yesterday morning by a student.
The student reported it to a teacher, and school administrators and law enforcement began an investigation. Nobody was harmed and no threat was detected.
The school district reminds parents to discuss gun safety and the proper handling and storage of firearms and ammunition with their children, particularly in the midst of hunting season.
