RCMS exceeded state average in the percentage of students scoring proficient or distinguished in all five subject areas.
56 percent of RCMS students scored proficient or distinguished in reading, which was 9 percent higher than state average. 52 percent scored proficient or distinguished in math, which was 11 percent higher than state average.
32 percent of RCMS students scored proficient or distinguished in science, which was 3 percent higher than state average. 46 percent scored proficient or distinguished in social studies, which was 7 percent higher than state average.
In combined writing, 53 percent of Russell County Middle School students scored proficient or distinguished, which was 5 percent higher than state average.
