The Laker Swim team got its 25-26 season underway with a strong start this past weekend.
The Lakers hosted the Fall Preview meet with Russell County coming out on top in the boys and girls leaderboards of 22 participating teams.
Senior Jacob Phillips led the boys, winning all 4 of his individual swims, including a new team record in the 50 Freestyle. He also was part of the 3 winning relay teams and was the male swimmer of the meet.
Marlei DeVore led the girls with 68 total points on the day.
Ethan Hart had a strong showing, scoring 53 points as the top 10th grade boy and Garren Railsback was the top middle school Swimmer of the Meet.
Haylyn Pierce was the top 10th Grade Girl scoring 57 points.
