Community blood drive takes place today

The Russell County community blood drive takes place today at the South Kentucky RECC Community Room.

The blood drive will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Every donor will receive a limited-edition long-sleeve shirt and one lucky donor will win a $100 gift card sponsored by Russell County Clerk Patti Glover.

The Kentucky Blood Center says donations typically drop in the winter months due to illness and weather.
