Adair man indicted on rape, kidnapping charges

An Adair County man was recently indicted on rape and kidnapping charges.

An Adair County grand jury indicted 31-year-old Malachi C. Webster on charges including rape first degree, kidnapping with serious physical injury, strangulation first degree, assault second degree, and fleeing or evading police first degree.

Webster was arrested in September by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office on the charges. He remains lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.

An indictment is a legal accusation. It does not imply guilt or innocence.
