The Russell County Laker and Lady Laker Soccer teams defeated Clinton County last night.
The Lady Lakers defeated the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 9-1.
Addison Coffey led the Lady Lakers with 3 goals on the night, followed by Madison Weisbrodt and Adriana Thomas with 2 goals each. Bella Blakey and Marissa Hatchett each scored a goal in the win.
Weisbrodt had 3 assists in the win, and Jayde Lawless had 2.
Liz Evans had 6 saves in the win.
The JV Lady Lakers defeated Clinton County by a score of 1-0. Kenzie Bennett recorded the winning goal and Andrea Hernandez had 8 saves.
The Lakers were also in action against Clinton County last night, coming out on top by a score of 4-0.
With the victories, both teams claim regular season sweeps over Clinton County and remain undefeated in district competition.
The Lady Lakers have another district matchup on Thursday at home against Monroe County. The Lakers are scheduled to host Taylor County at 5:00 tonight.
