The Russell County Fiscal Court will meet on Monday.
The court will hold the first reading of an ordinance permitting side-by-sides and other special purpose vehicles to be operated on county roadways.
Senate Bill 63 made these vehicles legal as long as they meet certain requirements. They have to be licensed by the county clerk’s office, insured and inspected by the sheriff’s office.
The court is also expected to set the county’s tax rate at Monday’s meeting.
The court will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the Russell County Courthouse.
