Two people were taken to the hospital following a four-vehicle collision on Highway 127 near the Cumberland Parkway just before noon today.
According to reports, a 2019 Jeep Wrangler operated by Ronda Salyer of Jamestown stopped abruptly behind a 2020 Toyota Tacoma driven by Terry Collett Jr. of Mount Washington, who was backed up from the stoplight at 127 and Maple Street.
A 2024 GMC Sierra, driven by Charles Fletcher of Russell Springs, was unable to stop in time and struck Salyer’s vehicle. The impact caused Salyer’s vehicle to strike the Toyota Tacoma, which then struck a 2024 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by David Kendrick Jr. of Harrodsburg.
Ronda Salyer and a passenger in the Toyota Tacoma, Terry Collett Sr. of Mount Washington, were transported by Russell County EMS to Russell County Hospital.
