Russell County’s unemployment rate was tied for the lowest in the Lake Cumberland area during the month of April.
The Kentucky Center for Statistics reported a 3.9 percent unemployment rate in Russell County last month. That was tied with Adair County for the lowest in the Lake Cumberland area.
Cumberland County came in at 4 percent and Pulaski at 4.5 percent.
Clinton County’s unemployment rate was 4.7 percent and Casey County was 4.8 percent.
Wayne County had the highest unemployment rate in the Lake Cumberland area at 5.5 percent.
