The local waste tire collection event gets underway today.
Waste tires will be accepted at the State Highway Garage on Voils Roads from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
Truck and passenger tires, lawn tractor, motorcycle, bicycle, and ATV tires will be accepted.
This event is free of charge thanks to a partnership between the county government and the Kentucky Division of Waste Management.
The waste tire collection will also take place from 8-3 tomorrow and 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday.
