The Laker Boys Tennis team fell to South Warren in the semi-finals of the regional tournament last night. Individual regionals will start on Friday at Bowling Green High School.
The Laker Baseball team had a big night against Casey County on Tuesday, defeating the Rebels 21-0. Jayce Scaggs and Walker Stephens led the Lakers in RBIs with three apiece. Mayes Gosser, Ayden McGowan, Jack Shearer, Jake Campbell, and Tanner Stringer each had two RBIs, while Owen Loy, Tyson Stille, Carter Stapp, Parker Riggins, and Logan Walters each added one. Mayes Gosser was the winning pitcher, striking out five batters in three innings. The Lakers are back in action tomorrow night on the road against Wayne County.
The Lady Laker Softball team fell to LaRue County last night by a final score of 7-2. The Lady Lakers will be on the road tomorrow night, taking on Wayne County.
The Russell County Middle School baseball team captured the CKMSAC Championship last night, defeating Campbellsville Middle School by a score of 11-3. Raylan McAninch, Parker Brumley, and Keaton Garner each had two RBIs. Keenan Stille, Aaron McGowan, and Riggs Richardson each added one RBI. Raylan McAninch, Keaton Garner, Parker Brumley, and Will Coffey were named to the All-Conference Team.
