RCHS Softball wins big at Monroe, on the road at SCS tonight

The Russell County Lady Laker Softball team picked up a big district victory on the road Friday night, defeating the Monroe County Lady Falcons 15-0 in 3 innings.

Rylen McGowan and Jaylee Roy each hit home runs in the win, It was McGowan’s 10th home run of the season and Roy’s 4th.

Addy Abrell drove in 3 runs for the Lady Lakers and Nevaeh Duncan finished with a pair of hits in the win.

Addison Hart finished with a 3 inning no-hitter while striking out 5 in the win.

The Lady Lakers are on the road again today, going to Somerset Christian. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
