The Russell County Laker golf team earned a runner-up finish in the conference championship Monday evening. Senior Gabe Browning led the Lakers with a round of 37, finishing as the individual conference runner-up. Grant Wilson shot a 41, followed by Grider Selby with a 42, Josiah Dudgeon with a 44 and Gavin Campbell with a 46.
The Lakers finished with a team score of 164.
Russell County will return to the course next Tuesday, September 22nd, for the regional tournament in Campbellsville.
