County announces free trash disposal day later this month

The county has announced the annual free trash disposal day will take place at the end of this month.

Free trash disposal day is scheduled for April 30 from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. at the Russell County Landfill. This is for Russell County residents only.

Tires and paint or paint cans will not be accepted. Items like refrigerators, stoves, or washers can be taken to the recycling center any day for free.
