The Russell County School District is gathering feedback about a potential new safety app for the school district.
The app is called E3. It is able to send out alerts to phones and computers in situations such as lockdowns or health emergencies. It also connects with local first responders to provide needed information.
Superintendent Michael Ford has more details about the app.
A video demonstration was shown to the board of education at this week’s meeting. Ford said there are 8-10 other school districts in the state that use the app.
