Lady Laker Softball defeats Adair, falls to Casey

The Russell County High School Lady Laker Softball team split a pair of games over the weekend.

The Lady Lakers defeated Adair County Friday night by a score of 6-2.

Brylie Hardwick led Russell County with three hits and 4 RBI, including a home run. Rylen McGowan also added three hits for the Lady Lakers.

Addison Hart gave up 2 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings and struck out 4 batters.

The Lady Lakers dropped a close one to Casey County on Saturday by a score of 11-10.

Camdin Cooper led Russell County with three hits, driving in a pair of runs. Emma Wilson drove in a pair of runs on two hits. Nevaeh Duncan hit her first home run of the season.

The Lady Lakers are 1-2 on the season, and will go on the road to Lincoln County tomorrow.
