Bill would lower age to carry a concealed weapon to 18

A bill in the Kentucky Legislature would lower the age to carry a concealed weapon in Kentucky to 18.

Current state law mandates that a person must be 21 to carry a concealed weapon.

State Senator Aaron Reid of Shelbyville is sponsoring the bill.

The bill will now go before the full senate.

Tomorrow will be Day 25 of this year’s 30-day session.
