The Jamestown Police Department recently received a grant that will help the department purchase body armor for its officers.
The grant was awarded by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office.
Police Chief Jeff Kerns said the soft body armor is state-of-the-art and will provide maximum safety for the city’s police officers, as well as providing comfort and flexibility.
