Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day holiday brings closings

Several offices are closed Monday due to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.

The Russell County Courthouse is closed for business today due to the holiday, as are city halls in Russell Springs and Jamestown.

The Russell County Judicial Center is also closed for the holiday, as are local post offices.

Russell County Schools will also not be in session today due to the holiday.

Each of these offices as well as the schools are expected to return to normal hours Tuesday.

Due to the holiday, the Russell County Board of Education will not meet this evening. The board will meet next Monday, January 27, at 5 p.m.
