A Somerset couple has been charged in a child abuse case.
According to authorities, the Department of Community Based Services received information that the couple, identified as Alexander Pence and Tracy Pence, both 34, were allegedly abusing a toddler that was in their care.
The investigation reportedly began last Saturday following a child abuse complaint. A detective on the case received information that Alexander and Tracy allegedly hit a 2-year-old in the face and head several times while in their care.
Both were charged with criminal abuse 1st degree – child 12 or under and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
