Russell County Hospital received a clean audit report for fiscal year 2023 at yesterday’s board of directors meeting.
The hospital contracted with the accounting firm Blue & Co, out of Louisville to perform the audit and two representatives from the company were at yesterday’s meeting to present the report.
In that report, the auditors stated the hospital is seeing a lot of positive trends in terms of expenses and overall finances that many hospitals are not.
WJRS News spoke with Russell County CEO Scott Thompson about the audit results following yesterday’s meeting.
