There’s a new coroner in neighboring Adair County.
Sierra Durbin, who formerly served as a deputy corner in Adair County, was sworn in to her new role Thursday evening after being appointed by County Judge Executive Larry Russell Bryant.
Following the resignation of former coroner Roger Huckaby, who was elected in 2022, two deputy coroners also resigned, which left Durbin as the only person in the coroner’s office.
Adair County has three positions for deputy coroner that remain vacant. Those positions must be approved by the fiscal court.
