Russell Springs Elementary School was placed on a soft lockdown Friday morning after a burglary took place at the Thomas residence next to the school.
At least two people were involved, and one person was able to flee from law enforcement. School officials say they are not aware of any threat to the school, but implemented a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure.
