Highway 127 through Russell Springs is a heavily traveled road, and even more so during the school year.
With a major project ongoing on Highway 127 and the first day of school just one week away, WJRS News spoke to Amber Hale with the District 8 transportation office. Hale said the cabinet has provisions in place to make sure the ongoing work doesn’t cause more traffic problems on the highway.
The first day of school is scheduled for next Wednesday. Hale told WJRS News crews are projected to complete the 127 project by the end of October.
