The Russell County Fiscal Court heard an update on the 127 project between Russell and Clinton counties this week.
James Jones from the District 8 Transportation Office spoke to the court about the timeline for the project.
Russell County Judge Executive Randy Marcum said he believes the project will be very beneficial for Russell County.
Jones said during the meeting this project is the largest one the cabinet has ever done in the 10-county district.
