The Russell County Fiscal Court approved the county’s tax rate at yesterday’s meeting with magistrates voting to keep the county’s tax rate the same.
The county tax rate was approved at 6.5 cents per $100 of assessed value on general property.
Judge Executive Randy Marcum spoke to WJRS News following the meeting about the tax rate.
The fiscal court also approved the health department’s tax rate 4.5 cents per $100 of assessed value. That rate was also unchanged from last year.
