Somerset man arrested after reportedly shooting at motorcyclists

A Somerset man was arrested after he reportedly fired a gun at individuals riding motorcycles.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, 60-year-old Terry Cook of Somerset was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment first degree, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and alcohol intoxication.

Deputies say they responded after someone called dispatch and said a man was shooting at them. The caller said he was riding a motorcycle in the area when a man swung a stick at him, striking his motorcycle and knocking the license plate off of it. The caller said he went back to the area with a friend to get the license plate when Cook reportedly drew a firearm and fired two shots at them as they were leaving.

When deputies arrived on scene, they spoke to Cook and witnesses at the scene confirmed Cook fired a weapon.

He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
