Proposed bill aims to crack down on teen vaping

A proposed bill in the Kentucky House of Representatives aims to crack down on teen vaping.

The bill, House Bill 11, would create a statewide database of retailers who sell tobacco and vaping products so inspectors could ensure those stores are only selling to customers who are 21 or older.

The bill would also require all vaping products to be FDA approved.

Provisions in the bill would eliminate many products sold by stores and shops around Russell County, much like it would across the state.

House Bill 11 passed out of committee and could get a house floor vote as early as this week.
