Longtime LCCAC board member recognized at state capitol

A longtime board member of the Lake Cumberland Children’s Advocacy Center was recognized at the Kentucky Capitol this week.

Ellen Zornes, who has served on the board of the local nonprofit for several years including serving as board president, was one of 16 individuals recognized as a legendary partner by children’s advocacy centers across the state in a ceremony at the capitol on Monday.

The individuals were recognized as having shown dedication to serving child victims of abuse in their community.

The Lake Cumberland Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization headquartered in Jamestown that serves the 10 counties making up the Lake Cumberland District.
