A family related shooting spree has left three people dead and one person critically injured. Dead are 73 year old Larry V. Gosser, his wife, 50 year old Angela Wilson Gosser, and her sister, 57 year old Jennifer Wilson. Critically injured and in a Lexington hospital is Darryl Wilson, brother of Angela Gosser and Jennifer Wilson.
Police say the incidents began around 5:30 Friday afternoon when the Pulaski County Sheriff’s office was called to investigate a shooting in western Pulaski County, very near the Russell-Pulaski county line, just off Brown Ridge Road. Responding, Pulaski sheriff’s deputies found the body of Larry V. Gosser, near the roadway, about 200 feet from his residence. Pulaski law enforcement notified Kentucky State Police in Columbia requesting law enforcement officials be on the lookout for a Ford F150, reportedly being operated by Angela Gosser, who was a suspect in the shooting. Several minutes later, Russell County dispatch was notified of a shooting incident on Lawless Cemetery Road, just off Moore’s Schoolhouse Road, south of Jamestown. Upon arrival, officers found Darryl Wilson critically injured from gunshot wounds, and discovered the body of Angela Gosser, who was fatally shot in a gunfire exchange with her brother. Preliminary investigation reveals that Angela Gosser had arrived at her brother’s residence, armed herself with a firearm, and forced entry into her brother’s residence. Gunfire was then exchanged between the siblings, resulting in the death of Angela Gosser and serious injuries to Darryl Wilson.
Local law enforcement officials were then notified that family members could not locate Jennifer Wilson and were concerned about her safety. Soon thereafter, Kentucky State Police and Sheriff’s deputies responded to Hammond Road, near the intersection of Hale’s Highway and highway 55 where they located a vehicle just off the roadway. Inside the vehicle was the body of Jennifer Wilson, the sole occupant of the vehicle, who had been shot several times, resulting in her death. Jennifer Wilson was the sister of Angela Gosser and Darryl Wilson. Authorities believe Angela Gosser was responsible for her death prior to the incident at her brother’s house.
At last report, Darryl Wilson was reported in critical condition at a Lexington hospital. The bodies of Larry V. Gosser and Angela Gosser were taken to Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs. Obituaries will follow this newscast.
