Human remains found in Taylor County last March have been identified as belonging to a missing Dunnville man.
According to the Taylor County Coroner’s Office, the remains belong to Dennis Davis of Dunnville.
According to state police, Davis was last seen around August 30, 2022 near his home in Dunnville.
The coroner’s office said that on March 28, a landowner called the coroner’s office to report they had found human remains in a wooded area near Green River Lake off Smith Ridge Road.
The remains were transported to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office in Louisville for testing & DNA, and Taylor County Coroner Daniel Cook said it has taken several months to receive positive DNA identification, which confirmed the remains belonged to Davis.
Kentucky State Police Post 15 is leading the investigation into the case.
