Russell Springs woman faces charges after wheeling baby around Walmart while intoxicated

A Russell Springs woman is facing charges after she allegedly was wheeling a baby around the Columbia Walmart in a shopping cart while intoxicated.

According to Columbia Police, officers were called to Walmart yesterday evening for reports of a woman who was intoxicated and had a baby in a shopping cart inside the store.

Columbia Police arrested 26-year-old Alisha Stotts of Russell Springs and charged her with wanton endangerment first degree, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, and counterfeiting a handicap placard.

The baby was moved into the care of a family member.

Sgt. Evan Burton was the arresting officer. He was assisted on scene by officers Trevor Foster and Holly Necessary.
