A Russell Springs man was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison last week after previously pleading guilty to production of child pornography.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky, 26-year-old Austin Lee Gladd was sentenced after he entered a plea deal earlier this year. As part of the deal, Gladd admitted to using social media to contact an underage girl in Danville and traveled to meet the girl and captured multiple videos on his phone of a sexual encounter with the girl.
Under federal law, Gladd must serve at least 85 percent of his prison sentence. The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Danville Police Department.
