Laker Soccer picks up win over Casey County

The Lakers possessed the ball for the majority of the first half, steadily wearing down the Rebel defense.

In the 23 minute, Taven Roy-Foley made a pass to Will Pratt in front of the goal for a strong finish; Lakers 1-0.

Ten minutes later, the Rebel keeper picked up a pass from his own defender giving the Lakers an indirect kick inside the penalty area.

Taven Roy-Foley made a quick pass to Xavier Betts-Jimenez for the second Laker goal of the night. In the second half, at the 51 minute mark, Yarley Medrano played a nice ball to Taven Roy-Foley who expertly placed it in the back of the net; Lakers 3-0.

With less than 4 minutes left in the game, the Rebels forced a Laker mistake and capitalized, 3-1, which is where the score remained until the final whistle.

Laker JV soccer also picks up another win against Casey County.

The Lakers scored both of their goals in the first half. The first goal started with a cross from Luis Lopez, to Xavion Russell, who then played to to Jose Lopez who put the ball in the back of the net.

The Lakers scored again shortly after with a nice pass from Connor Davidson to Jose Lopez, who placed the ball in the left corner of the goal.

The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Lakers.

The Lakers host district rival Monroe County tomorrow, beginning at 5:30.
