The Russell County Lady Laker Golf team hosted a weekend tournament at Lakewood Country Club, finishing with the best overall score of the season so far.
The Lady Lakers shot a 368, finishing third overall in the tournament.
Breanna Trautman shot an 84 to lead the Lady Lakers, while Madalyn Wright shot a 93, Catherine Wright shot a 95, Carleen Meyers shot a 96, and Carly Shearer shot a 101.
Coach Melinda Wright said the tournament was a great success and thanked Branscum Construction and First National Bank for sponsoring the tournament, along with the booster club and volunteers at Lakewood for making it such a success.
The Lady Lakers will be back in action on Saturday at LaRue Country Club.
