Jamestown man cited following moped collision

A Jamestown man was cited after the moped he was operating crashed into a car.

According to Jamestown Police, 54-year-old David Glenn of Jamestown was cited for driving on a DUI-suspended license and driving without a license/negligence in an accident.

Jamestown Police say the collision occurred just before 12:30 Saturday afternoon at the intersection of West Cumberland Avenue and Highway 619 when 55-year-old Deborah Haynes was operating a vehicle leaving Sunset Drive when she crossed into the path of Glenn’s moped.

Glenn reportedly struck the front of the vehicle and was thrown from his moped.

He was transported from the scene to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries.
