An investigation is apparently underway following the death of an infant on Saturday.
WJRS News has learned that Russell County EMS responded to the Jamestown Manor on Saturday regarding a small child, approximately four months old.
The child was reportedly transported by EMS to the Russell County Hospital emergency room and later pronounced dead.
WJRS News contacted Kentucky State Police yesterday to get more details, but a spokesperson for the state police did not respond.
