Adair man indicted on murder charge

An Adair County man has been indicted on a murder charge.

David D. Denney, age 44 of Columbia, faces one count of murder in the death of Darcy N. Albee last November.

According to the Adair County Community Voice, an investigation was opened into Albee’s death by Kentucky State Police and the Adair County Coroner’s Office after local EMS responded to a residence on Little Cake Road in Adair County where a woman had reportedly fallen down a set of stairs.

According to the indictment, Denney is being held on a $1 million cash bond and is set to appear in court Aug. 29.

He is currently lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
